Cool Qmax Value– Assess the Surface Cool Sensations of Fabrics

The Morntrip recently launched a new type of mask---Japan's hottest cooling mask. Cool sensation is called "instant cool sensation in contact", and its principle is to transfer the temperature from high temperature to low temperature through heat conduction, until equilibrium. The cooling sensation additives on the market are mostly high-grade aliphatic hydrocarbons and cooling factors. The phase transition temperature of high-grade fats and cooling factors is slightly lower than the body surface temperature, generally is 31～32 ,which gives people a cool and comfortable feeling. Irritating, non-allergic, and other adverse reactions.

The coolness of the cooling mask is measured by the Qmax Cool Touch. Therefore, what is Qmax cool touch?---assess the surface cool sensations of fabrics sensed when there is initial contact of the material with the skin surface.

Another hand property, calculated from measures of thermal transport,  is the qmax value (watts/m2°C). This evaluation is used to assess the surface cool sensations of a garment fabric and indicates the instantaneous thermal feeling sensed when there is initial contact of the material with the skin surface. Simulating initial touch when shopping or when donning the fabric in wear, the qmax value largely depends on the contact area between skin and fabric surface. Thus, the surface characteristic of a material is important to sensations on how    warm or cool a fabric feels to an individual. A higher value of qmax denotes that there is more rapid movement of heat from the body to the fabric surface resulting in a cooler feeling fabric.
